Bastia

Bastia is a commune located in the department of Haute-Corse on the island of Corsica, France. Situated in the northeast of the island at the base of Cap Corse, it serves as the capital of both the Bagnaja region and the Haute-Corse department.

The city holds significant demographic importance as it has the second-highest population of any commune on the island, surpassed only by Ajaccio. It remains a primary administrative and residential hub within the Corsican territory.
