Barcelonnette is a commune and subprefecture located in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence within the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. Situated in the southern French Alps, it sits at the geographical crossroads between Provence, Piedmont, and the Dauphiné.
The town serves as the largest settlement in the Ubaye Valley. Its inhabitants are locally referred to as Barcelonnettes.
