Clermont-Ferrand is a city and commune located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. It serves as the prefecture, or capital, of the Puy-de-Dôme département.
As of 2023, the city has a population of 146,351 residents. Its surrounding metropolitan area recorded a population of 510,669 in 2022. The current mayor of Clermont-Ferrand is Julien Bony.
