Sète is a resort town and commune located in the Hérault department within the Occitania region of southern France. Historically, the municipality has also been referred to by the spellings Cette and Sette.
The inhabitants of the town are known as Sétois and Sétoises in French, while the terms Setòris and Setòria are used in Occitan.
