Limoux

Limoux is a commune and subprefecture located in the Aude department of southern France. It is situated within the present-day Occitanie region and was historically part of the ancient Languedoc province.

The area is notable for its vineyards, which are recognized for being the first to produce Blanquette de Limoux, a specific type of sparkling wine.
