Royan is a commune and town located in the south-west of France within the Charente-Maritime department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It serves as the capital of the Côte de Beauté.
As one of the primary French Atlantic coastal resort towns, Royan features five beaches and an active fishing port. The town also includes a marina capable of accommodating over 1,000 boats.
