Jonzac is a commune located in the Charente-Maritime department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in southwestern France.
The town is notable as the birthplace of several prominent intellectuals, including the historian Jean Glénisson (1921–2010) and the philosopher Jean Hyppolite (1907–1968).
