Ancenis is a former commune located in the Loire-Atlantique department in western France. On January 1, 2019, it was merged into the new commune of Ancenis-Saint-Géréon.
Historically, the location served as a sub-prefecture of the Loire-Atlantique department and functioned as the seat of the former arrondissement of Ancenis.
