Yutz is a commune located in the Moselle department within the Grand Est region of north-eastern France. It is situated in close proximity to the national borders of both Luxembourg and Germany.
The current commune was established in 1971 through the merger of the former communes of Basse-Yutz and Haute-Yutz. Additionally, the area includes Macquenom, which became part of the commune in 1810.
