Selestat

Sélestat is a commune situated in the Grand Est region of France. It serves as an administrative division, specifically a sous-préfecture, within the Bas-Rhin department. The town is positioned along the Ill river, located approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) from the Rhine and the German border.

Geographically, Sélestat lies between the two largest communes of Alsace, Strasbourg and Mulhouse. As of 2023, the commune had a total population of 19,589 residents.
