Kirkjubøur is a village located on the southwest coast of Streymoy, the largest island in the Faroe Islands. It serves as the southernmost settlement on this island and is situated south of the Gamlarætt ferry port, which opened in 1993.
The village offers views toward several surrounding islands, including Hestur and Koltur to the west, and Sandoy to the south.
