Lamotrek is a coral atoll consisting of three islands located in the central Caroline Islands within the Pacific Ocean. It serves as a legislative district in Yap State, which is part of the Federated States of Micronesia.
The atoll is situated approximately 11 kilometers east of Elato. As of the year 2000, Lamotrek had a population of 373 residents living on an area of nearly 1 square kilometer.
