Yasawa, also known as Assawa or Ysava, is the northernmost large island within the Yasawa Group. This archipelago is located in the Western Division of Fiji at coordinates 17.00° South and 177.23° East.
The island covers a total area of 32 square kilometres and reaches a maximum altitude of 244 metres above sea level. According to data from 1983, the population of Yasawa was recorded at 1,120 residents.
