Lautoka is the second largest metropolitan area in Fiji, situated on the west coast of the island of Viti Levu. It is located within the Ba Province of the Western Division and covers a total area of 32 square kilometres.
The city is situated in the heart of Fiji's sugar cane-growing region, which has earned it the nickname "Sugar City." According to the most recent census conducted in 2017, Lautoka had a population of 71,573 residents.
