Nuijamaa is a former municipality located in the province of South Karelia in Finland. It was primarily a Finnish-speaking municipality that shared borders with several neighboring regions, including Lappee, Lappeenranta, Lauritsala, Taipalsaari, Lemi, Luumäki, Ylämaa, and Joutseno.
The municipality also shared a border with Russia. In 1988, Nuijamaa had an area of 136 km² and a population of 1,199 inhabitants. It is situated approximately 26 kilometres from the city center of Lappeenranta and 39 kilometres from the medieval town of Vyborg in Russia.
