Zumbo is a border town located in the Zumbo District of Tete Province in Mozambique. It serves as the westernmost town in the country and is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River.
The town lies on the north-east bank of the confluence of the Zambezi and Luangwa Rivers. Its geographical position makes it a point of proximity to neighboring nations, with Zambia located across the Luangwa River and Zimbabwe positioned diagonally across the Zambezi approximately 2 km upstream. As of 2005, Zumbo had a recorded population of 33,000 residents.
