Mizan Teferi is a city located in Ethiopia within the South West Ethiopia Peoples' Region. It serves as one of the four capital cities of the region and functions as the administrative center for the Bench Sheko Zone. The town is situated at an elevation of 1,451 meters with geographical coordinates of 7°0′N 35°35′E.
The city is positioned approximately 160 kilometers southwest of Jimma. Mizan Teferi, in conjunction with the neighboring town of Aman, constitutes a separate woreda known as Mizan Aman, which is surrounded by the Debub Bench woreda.
