Tebela

Ethiopia

Tebela, also known as Xabala in the Wolayttattuwa language, is a city located in the Wolaita Zone of the South Ethiopia Regional State. It serves as the administrative capital of the Humbo district. The city is situated approximately 345 km south of Addis Ababa and lies about 20 km south of Sodo, which is the capital of both the region and the Wolayita Zone.

The city's geographic coordinates are 6°42′24″N 37°46′10″E. Local infrastructure includes 24-hour electricity, public water systems, postal services, telecommunications, and a network of asphalt roads for internal and town crossings. Residents have access to various amenities such as banks, primary and secondary schools, health centers, private clinics, drug stores, and a public market.
