Sodo, officially known as Wolaita Sodo, is a city located in southern Ethiopia. Situated at a latitude and longitude of 6°54′N 37°45′E, the city sits at an elevation ranging between 1,600 and 2,100 metres above sea level.
The city serves as a primary political and administrative center for both the Wolaita Zone and the South Ethiopia Regional State. Historically, it was part of the former Sodo woreda, which also included the surrounding area of Sodo Zuria.
