Jinka is a market town located in southern Ethiopia, situated in the hills north of the Tama Plains. It serves as the capital of the Ari Zone within the South Ethiopia Regional State and functions as the center of Jinka town administration. The town sits at an elevation of 1490 meters above sea level.
The location is recognized as one of the most famous tourist destinations in Ethiopia. It serves as a significant hub for at least sixteen indigenous ethnic groups, while also hosting residents from other regions of the country.
