Dimtu, also known as Wolaita Dimtu or Bilate Tena, is a city administrator located in the Wolayita Zone of the South Ethiopia Region. The town sits at an elevation ranging between 1,000 and 1,600 metres above sea level.
Historically, the area was part of the former Damot Weyde (Woreda) of the Wolayita Zone and was also under the jurisdiction of the Diguna Fango woreda. It is situated near the Sodo Zuria woreda. The name Bilate Tena is frequently used in literature and journals to refer to the town, including works regarding climate change adaptation practices in the Bilate River Basin.
