Bale Hawassa (Wolayttattuwa: Bale Hawaasa), often referred to simply as Bale, is a city located in the Wolaita Zone of the South Ethiopia Regional State in Ethiopia. It serves as one of eleven city administrations within the Wolaita Zone and functions as the administrative capital of the Kindo Koysha district.
The city is situated at an average elevation of 1,500 meters above sea level, positioned between 6°55'05" North and 37°31'55" East. Geographically, it lies approximately 400 km south of Addis Ababa along the Addis-Butajira-Sodo route and is located about 38 km westward from Sodo, which is the capital of the Wolaita Zone.
