Durame

Ethiopia

Durame is a town located in southeastern Ethiopia at an elevation of 2101 meters above sea level. It serves as the administrative center of the Kembata Tembaro Zone within the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region (SNNPR). The town is situated at the coordinates 7°14′N 37°53′E and is surrounded by Damboya woreda.

The town is primarily recognized as the main urban center for the Kambaata-speaking people. It functions as a key regional hub for the local population and administrative governance in its area.
