Sendafa

Ethiopia

Sendafa is a town located in central Ethiopia within the Oromia Region. It serves as its own separate district and is situated specifically in the Oromia Special Zone Surrounding Finfinne. The name Sendafa originates from the Oromo language, referring to a type of thick, jointed grass or reed that grows in swampy environments.

The town is positioned at a latitude of 9°09′N and a longitude of 39°02′E, at an elevation of 2514 meters above sea level. It is located along the paved Addis Ababa - Adigrat highway, approximately 38 kilometers north of Ethiopia's capital city.
