Weldiya, also known as Woldia, is a town and the capital of the North Wollo Zone in Ethiopia's Amhara Region. Situated in northern Ethiopia, it serves as an administrative center for its surrounding district.
The town is located at an elevation of 2,112 meters above sea level and is bordered by the Guba Lafto woreda. Geographically, Weldiya is positioned north of Dessie and southeast of Lalibela.
