Metemma, also known as Metemma Yohannes, is a town located in northwestern Ethiopia. It is situated within the Semien Gondar Zone of the Amhara Region at an elevation of 685 meters above sea level.
The town sits on the border with Sudan, specifically across from the Sudanese village of Gallabat. Its geographical coordinates are 12°58′N 36°12′E.
