Addis Zemen is a town situated in northern-central Ethiopia within the Amhara Region. It serves as the administrative center of the Kemekem woreda and is located specifically in the Debub Gondar Zone.
The town is positioned at a latitude of 12°07′N and a longitude of 37°47′E, at an elevation of 1975 meters above sea level. It lies along the primary road connecting the cities of Gondar and Bahir Dar.
