Melilla

Melilla is an autonomous city of Spain located on the North African coast. It is situated on the eastern side of the Cape Three Forks, where it borders Morocco and faces the Mediterranean Sea. The city covers a total area of 12.3 km2 (4.7 sq mi).

Historically, Melilla was part of the province of Málaga. This changed on March 14, 1995, when the Statute of Autonomy of Melilla was passed, establishing its current status as an autonomous city.
