Terrassa is a city located in the autonomous community of Catalonia in Spain, situated within the province of Barcelona. It serves as one of the two capitals of the Vallès Occidental county.
The city is the larger of the two county capitals in terms of both land area and population. It covers an area of 70.12 km² (27.07 sq mi) and has a population of 228,294 residents.
