The Sagrada Família is a Catholic church located in the Eixample district of Barcelona, situated in the Catalonia region of Spain. Designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, it is recognized as the tallest church in the world.
The structure was consecrated as a basilica by Pope Benedict XVI on November 7, 2010, and remains under construction. In 2005, parts of the site were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the designation "Works of Antoni Gaudí."
