Sabadell is a city and municipality located in the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the southern part of the comarca of Vallès Occidental, where it serves as one of two capitals alongside the city of Terrassa.
The city is positioned on the River Ripoll at an elevation of 190 meters above sea level. It lies approximately 20 kilometers north of Barcelona. With a population of 224,589, Sabadell ranks as the fifth-largest city in Catalonia and the 23rd-largest in Spain.
