Nou Barris is one of the ten official districts of Barcelona, located in the Catalonia region of Spain. The district has been part of this administrative division since 1984 and currently covers a total area of 8.04 square kilometers.
The name Nou Barris refers to the original nine neighborhoods that first composed the district. While it was initially formed by these nine areas, the current boundaries now encompass thirteen distinct neighborhoods.
