Cornellà de Llobregat is a municipality located in the comarca of Baix Llobregat within the Catalonia region of Spain. Geographically, it is situated on the left bank of the Llobregat River and occupies a position in the south-western part of the Barcelona metropolitan area.
The city is integrated into the wider urban area surrounding Barcelona. It is notably home to two sports clubs: RCD Espanyol and UE Cornellà.
