Farsia

Western Sahara

Farsia is an isolated village located in Western Sahara within the territories occupied by Morocco. It gained historical significance during the transition of power from Spain to Morocco, specifically regarding its military status in the region.

The village was occupied by the Moroccan military on October 31, 1975, following the evacuation of Spanish troops from their posts. However, Moroccan forces were subsequently pushed out of Farsia by the Polisario Front.
