The Juhaynah are a nomadic tribe originating from the Arabian Peninsula. They are recognized as the largest clan of the Banu Quda'a and are considered one of the most powerful tribes in the region, governing significant areas across the peninsula.
While primarily located in Saudi Arabia—specifically within the regions of Madinah and the cities of Yanbu, Umluj, Alshabaha, Tabuk, and Jeddah—the tribe is also present in Jordan and Egypt. Historical migrations during the 11th century led to a significant Juhani presence in eastern Sudan, including groups such as the Rufaa people, the Shukria clan, and the Kababish tribe.
Other groups in Darfur and Chad, such as the Baggara Arabs and Abbala, claim Juhani ancestry, though some evidence suggests these specific groups may originate from Banu Judham rather than Juhaynah.
