Armant, also known as Hermonthis, is a town situated in Egypt within the Luxor Governorate. It is located on the west bank of the Nile River, approximately 19 km south of Thebes.
Historically, Armant served as an important town during the Middle Kingdom period. The settlement underwent significant enlargement during the Eighteenth Dynasty and remains a notable archaeological site in the region.
