Al Burj was the original name for a proposed skyscraper project in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Developed by Nakheel, the project was later renamed Nakheel Tower and has since been cancelled.
The tower was designed to reach a height of 1,000 metres (3,281 ft), which would have made it the tallest building in the world. This design intended for the structure to surpass the Burj Khalifa, which was completed in 2010 at a height of 828 metres (2,717 ft).
