Abnub is a city located in Egypt within the Asyut Governorate. It is situated on the east bank of the Nile River, positioned several kilometres northwest of the city of Asyut.
According to the 2023 census, the population of Abnub was 118,843. The name of the city originates from the Ancient Egyptian term pr-nbw, which translates literally as "treasury."
