Edfu is a city in Egypt situated on the west bank of the Nile River. It is located between the cities of Esna and Aswan and has a population of approximately 60,000 people.
The area is home to several significant archaeological sites, most notably the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus and an ancient settlement known as Tell Edfu. Additionally, remains of ancient pyramids can be found about 5 km (3.1 mi) south of the city.
