6th of October is a satellite city located in the Giza Governorate of Egypt. It is situated adjacent to Giza and forms part of the Greater Cairo region.
Established as a new city in the desert, 6th of October served as the capital of the 6th of October Governorate until it was dissolved in 2011. The city currently hosts various local and international educational facilities.
