Talkha is a city located in the Dakahlia Governorate of Egypt. It is situated in the Nile Delta region, approximately 120 km northeast of Cairo.
The city is positioned on the west bank of the Damietta, which is a distributary of the Nile River. Talkha sits directly opposite the city of Mansoura; together, these two cities form an urban agglomeration along the waterway.
