Virtsu is a small borough located in Lääneranna Parish within Pärnu County, Estonia. It is situated on the western coast of continental Estonia and serves as a significant maritime hub for the region.

The town is primarily known as the location of the main port for traffic traveling to and from Saaremaa, which is Estonia's largest island. The Virtsu ferry provides transportation to Kuivastu on the island of Muhu; this destination is connected to Saaremaa via the Väinatamm, the largest causeway in the country.
