Tuban is a town situated on the north coast of Java in Indonesia. It serves as the seat of Tuban Regency, located approximately 100 km (62 mi) west of Surabaya, which is the capital of East Java.
The town covers an area of 21.29 km2 (8.22 sq mi). As of mid-2024, its officially estimated population was 88,025. Tuban Regency is bordered by Lamongan Regency to the east, Bojonegoro Regency to the south, and Rembang Regency in Central Java to the west.
