Calceta is a town located in the Manabí province of Ecuador. It is situated on the banks of the Carrizal river and is surrounded by a valley of the same name.
The town serves as a center for trade and services for the north-central zone of Manabí. The area features a significant educational infrastructure, including more than twenty schools and a dozen high schools. Additionally, the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Manabí (ESPAM), a modern agricultural and environmental university, is located three kilometres away.
