Antonio "Tony" Sotomayor (1902–1985) was a Bolivian-born American artist and educator who gained recognition for his diverse contributions to the arts. While he is primarily known as a painter and muralist, his professional portfolio also included work as an illustrator, caricaturist, designer, and ceramicist.
Sotomayor was a prominent figure in the art community of San Francisco, where he earned the nickname "Artist Laureate." His career spanned several decades, during which he balanced his roles as both a creative practitioner and an educator.
