Saraguro is a parish and the capital of the Saraguro Canton located in the Loja Province of Ecuador. The parish covers a total area of 75.85 square kilometres (29.29 sq mi) and serves as a primary administrative center for the region.
The town of Saraguro is situated at an elevation of 2,719 metres (8,921 ft). Demographic data indicates that the population of the parish grew from 7,346 in 2001 to 9,045 in 2010, while the specific town population increased from 3,124 to 4,031 during the same period.
