Samborondón is a parish and town located in the Guayas province of Ecuador. It serves as the seat of the Samborondón Canton, which encompasses 105 localities, two urban parishes (including Samborondón Town), and one rural parish known as Tarifa.
The area is characterized by its proximity to Guayaquil, the country's largest city, which allows many residents to commute for work. It features La Puntilla, a prominent residential and entertainment district noted for being one of the most exclusive areas in Ecuador. This suburb contains numerous gated communities and retail developments and serves as a primary residence for many of Guayaquil's upper-class families.
