Isidro Ayora

Ecuador

Isidro Ayora is a town located in the Guayas Province of Ecuador. The location derives its name from Isidro Ramón Antonio Ayora Cueva, an Ecuadorian political figure who served as the 22nd President of Ecuador from 1926 to 1931.

In addition to the namesake town in Guayas, Puerto Ayora is also named after the former president. Furthermore, coins introduced during his presidency are sometimes referred to by people as "ayora."
