Riobamba is a city located in central Ecuador. It serves as the capital of Chimborazo Province and is situated within the Chambo River Valley of the Andes mountains.
The city is positioned at an elevation of 2,754 meters above sea level. It is located approximately 200 kilometers (120 miles) south of Quito, which is the capital of Ecuador.
