El Menia is an oasis town and commune located in Algeria. It serves as the capital of the El Ménia District within the homonymous El Menia Province. Formerly known as El Goléa, both names translate to "Impregnable Castle" in Arabic.
The area is inhabited by the Zenete Berbers and serves as a significant agricultural site where various products are grown in the oasis. According to the 2008 census, the town had a population of 40,195, reflecting an annual growth rate of 3.4% since 1998.
A notable landmark within the town is the grave of the French priest Charles de Foucauld.
